You have a great looking auto - Washington Blue. I have a 38 Phaeton that I restored frame up and painted Washington Blue and Lebanon Bonney Top and upholstery. It came with a 37 21 stud engine which I understand were used up to about Nov 37 and after that the 24 stud, which is what you have. I use Strombergs 97s, optima 6v battery and original headlights with halogen bulbs. If you want to see at night, keep the sealed beams. I you like the looks, use the original headlights, depends whether you travel at night. You have the mechanical brakes? If properly maintained they will slide the wheels!!!! Great looking low mileage auto - enjoy!!!

That's a beautiful 38, my favorite year, been driving a dlx. coupe since 1964, a conv. coupe since finished in 2009, some 38 came from the factory with a radio a 2 brush generator, and voltage regulator, you made a great find, they are rare......enjoy
