Lightbulb 37 Ford Trunklid Handle Question

From time to time, I see "NOS" 37 Ford trunklid handles posted for sale and they are unpainted while I've seen others that had blue paint in between the embossed "V8" on the handle. Were they originally painted blue from the factory or plain or both?

Thought about using one on my 34 coupe cause I've always liked the look of them.

Thanks for your responses!

The original trunk handle on my 37 Tudor is blue.
