Default 1928-29 Dash Light. Dumb Question!

This is my first 1929 vehicle, how do you turn on the dash / instrument light? 30-31 has a small switch under dash rail but i do not see anything for the 28-29. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.

Place your thumb and forefinger on the cap and push in while twisting clockwise slightly.

No such thing as a dumb question here buddy. Better than breaking something. I've asked plenty myself.

Yes do as Rawhide says, takes a one-quarter turn reverse to shut off you will feel it 'pop out' when it is off.

Been a long time since I changed that bulb, but I think when it is 'off' you just grab the cover with your thumb and pointer finger and pull it off straight back towards you? I last changed that bulb in about 1978 so been awhile

Someone here on the Barn mentioned he ran a wire up from the tail light so the dash light came on with the lights... and he put a 12 volt light bulb in it as the 6 volt one is pretty bright.

If you have a HIGHER candlepower bulb in your dash light, turn it off QUICKLY, or it will burn the CRAP out of your finger tips!!!
IF it flickers while driving, just add a bit of solder to the bulb tip. (TIP#11)
