Default Ford script on radiator shell

Which is correct for judging? Blue background with stainless script or vice-versa? Here is what I have now. Is it referenced in the judging manual?

28-30 is blue background with silver script. 31 is blue script and stainless background. Yes it's referenced in the judging standards. Yours looks correct.

On the 31, the emblem paint is supposed to be black instead of blue.

Pg. 15-8 1997 revision should be black letters except some
stamped emblems used between late 1930 and March 1931 had
blue paint.

RG&JS 15-8 Revised 1997

A blue vitreous enamel emblem was used on the 1928
through 1930 radiator shells. The non-enameled
portions were unpolished nickel plating through 1929
and dull chrome thereafter
.
The 1928 emblem had a
stepped edge, whereas the 1929-1930 emblems had a
chamfered edge. With the introduction of the 1931
style shell the emblem was changed to a stainless steel
stamping with black paint in the recesses. Some
stamped emblems used between late 1930 and March
1931 had blue paint in the recesses.

Do you have an indented firewall?
If not, then the blue should be fine. I like the blue and if it was my car I'd probably leave it anyway.

It looks like I have the correct one per page 15-8. Thank you. I am trying to get acclimated to this judging manual.

Since you mention "what's correct for judging" what is the serial number on the block, in other words, what month are you depicting for your car?

That is a December 1930 number. If you are basing the build date on that engine number, the blue is 100% correct.
