Default Removing upper Trim side piece Parklane

The trim piece in front of sliding window of Parklane needs to come off for welding. There are 5? Rivets towards front of car inside door that hold piece on, have been removed. Does the trim piece then slide forward off clip? I also think the mid panel trim piece may hold the bottom which is removed by removing nuts behind window escutcheon.

After removing the rivets, lift the rivet side up towards you over the lip of body and push entire piece back.....

Hi K! What's new with the Frankenwagon? The weld at the B pillar has given out at the connection between roof pillar and rocker panel at the window belt line. You can actually see the sliding window area at B pillar Shake when closing drivers door. First indication was hearing a clunk behind me on L side...rear of door was moving in frame. I can see a crack in the paint on the "face" of striker. Looks like passenger side is also weakening....

If both sides are cracking, there may be a possibility that the roof was replaced sometime in its past. not likely, but I have seen roof's replaced that were damaged by tree's falling on them. I would also check at the c pillar by the tailgate.
