Default Differences in 39 DeLuxe rear fenders

I had what I thought was a pair of nos rear fenders that came with a 39 convertible I bought recently. As I was hanging them on the wall in the shop Saturday, I noticed the left one looked visibly shorter than the right one. I took the tape to them and the left is about three inches shorter than the right one. I know the right one is correct for the car as it still had the old tag with pt number still attached. (81A16312-C) My question is, what does the left hand fender fit?

Count the bolt mounting holes in the fender, 11 holes is for a 39 Dlx fender 10 holes is for a 38 standard sedan fender.

It has 10 holes with an indented bead between each hole. This fender was in with the 39 convertible coupe garage find that I showed you the pics of when we were in Louisville at the nats. Guess I'll use it for trading material. :-) Thanks for the info and I enjoyed talking to you guys over there.
