Default Clearing the air for holley 94 part

Ok I was not trying to offend anyone on here I was trying to say what I thought about it

I know how things work I work at a few shops in my lifetime and not always get things done like they want
Sometimes you get treated good and sometimes you don't

I had no trouble with the shafts I got from speedway the only trouble I had is with there plates and screws

This shaft I had problems with the linkage end was to big and the slots were to thin when I put the plates in the shaft would not turn even with no screws

I know things happen but I just going to move on and try something else

I didn't want to make people mad but if you did get mad nothing I can do about that

Now this is a strange post??

Even more interesting: "This is my last post about it I'm done no more comments from me"

Why doesn't everyone shut up about this. It has become a pissing contest. I thought that this site was about early Fords, not about who / is / was right. Let's just move on.

I see that 1931 Flathead was banned.
I just wanted to share my thought about that.
The guy was upset that he spent money, received parts and They just didn’t work for the guy. So he expressed what he felt and at first we all tried to help with different ideas of what to do. Some said send them back, some said you never had problems from this vender and that he stands by his product. Even the vender chimed in to try and correct the situation. After all that he just didn’t want to deal with the vendor anymore. He tried to let it go but message after messages just brought this guy back into the conversation. Instead of defusing the situation Some even edged the guy on. That just fueled the fire. Maybe the guy didn’t use his best judgement but either did some. After a while it was like a soap opera.
I’m not trying to take anybody’s side but both sides could have let it go and that would have been the end of the story. So now we have a Ford Barner banned. This is not a good example how we should conduct ourselves. We need good people on this site and we are good people just sometimes we take to the next level. This site has helped me many times and I could not do without you guys but there were times where I could have been drawn into the drama But drama doesn’t belong on this site. We need to be more professional and yes a joke know and then is funny but remember It’s just a joke. Some people could take it wrong. When we write these messages on the Forum remembered people just see the writing they don’t hear how it’s expressed and the take it out of context. I’m not pointing fingers at anyone just Trying to make sense of it all.

Lanny I felt sorry for the guy and I didn’t know that he may have health problems.
I don’t like bullies. If the guy has a health problem that’s more to let it go.
Now I don’t know if anybody else knows that but you should still be nice to people
And drop the subject knowing its not going anywhere. Already I received a private message from one of the bullies. I won’t say who it was but I’m sure he will make himself present.
He’s a stirrer and has to have the last word. Let’s see if I’m right.

Not sure, fellas. This was more than a disagreement. It was truly unclear which Charlie he was talking about. It could have been Charlie Price or Charlie NY, but he wouldn't stop going after Charlie NY. Charlie NY is a stand up guy and a member in excellent standing. Charlie tried to make it right with OP, but it went south quickly after.

The OP kept calling people dick heads and needing to get the last word on every comment.

I do feel bad if he does have some medical issue, but it doesn't give someone a free pass to be down right disrespectful. What was worse, it was really unclear who he was talking about and I think he got confused as well.

It sucks to get old and we'll all have our time, but it doesn't mean you get a free pass either.

As a school administrator, I deal with angry people a lot. I do use the saying, "It's only tug of war if you pick up the rope."

I'll admit I picked up the rope on this by agreeing with Tubman. Maybe I should have stayed out of it. Not sure looking back, but it seems like Ryan has made his decision.

I understand what your saying but cut the guy some slack.
He’s not in the best of shape and don’t forget that some guys were edging him on.It could have been avoided. Let the guy talk and that would have been it but people continued right on with him. Yes I saw him use the word dick but after the frustrationFrom others. I agree that the name calling was out of line but the edging on was also. Don’t forget it wasn’t one against one. It was a bunch of people on him. How would that make anybody feel.
It was a real soap opera that know one was winning so he was reported and banned. That wasn’t nice. It all could have been avoided if the others were bigger men.

The difference of opinion between the OP and someone named Charlie
should have been ironed out between those two members.

I'd bet, that at times, 1931flathead felt like he was being 'gang-tackled'
with others voicing their opinions, most all against him.

It pissed him off, as it would most anyone, especially if one
has trouble thinking real clear. Give the man a little break.

In hindsight, I can see what you are saying and I may have contributed to it by jumping into the fray by agreeing to comments posted against him. If so, I apologize for egging him on.

There are a series of post from the OP that certainly had an edge to them. Maybe he isn't doing well and, if so, I wish him the best. Discourse is one thing, but I think it was a series of poor post that caused others pile on him and the eventual ban.

You know lanny brought up some past post from 1931flathead.
The post showed him talking about his stroke, high blood pressure,
Procedures that where done to him and operation he went through.
Everyone who saw those post and wished him well. I’m talking about many people sending him prayer and wishing him well. It seemed he needed to talk about it and you guys listened and consoled the man. That I’m sure made a big difference for him.
In this recent post he apologized and said hope I didn’t make anyone mad.
I think it was sincere. It may not have come out like he was a poet but I
Really think he meant it
