Allow yourself plenty of time and just take it easy. With your four you will likely be more comfortable staying off the interstate highway system. You'll be fine. |

Re: EFV8 Grand National Meet 2018
For those of you that are Ford Barners and not Early Ford V8 Club members, consider joining the V8 Club. The membership dues are inexpensive and the cost is worth the V8 Times magazine alone. You don't have to have a concourse quality V8 Ford to join or attend. They have a touring class that is very popular especially for those of us who drive our V8's. These meets are not just a car show. We do a lot of site-seeing & touring in our V8's. The meets are a lot of fun. I'm 37 years old and have a great time at the meets with some very good friends. Join up, you will be welcomed. If I see you at a meet I promise you'll have a great time.
Oh and did I mention Bubba will be there talking ignition systems and Mac VanPelt talking transmissions. Lots of information to be soaked up. |

He did me a favor in Bakersfield by not going
All joking aside Glenn Sanders can testify to me being his most compatible roommate. Ok, I'm still joking. Jeff is one of the nicest guys you could meet. Always a lot of fun and he just does not get worked up over too much. Most guys say check out my car and open the hood. he handed me the keys.

Re: EFV8 Grand National Meet 2018
Yes it is. I'm only an hour or so from the Berkshires. 90 minutes to the NY border.

Re: EFV8 Grand National Meet 2018
V8 Club meets are the highlight of my year! Even better for me than Hershey. Looks like I'm trailering, but there's still a slim hope of driving out to Dearborn.
Frank co-hosted a meet at Saratoga Springs that was a real hoot! I'll never forget the covered bridge tour and the Saratoga battlefield. We got a super cool license plate tab because that was the 75th anniversary year for the '36's. There was a rainstorm during the Concourse that was biblical. I had such a great time at Gettysburg 2016, that I signed up with JM35 to fly to Cali. I had to back out, and Frank took my place. Pretty sure they had a great time, including a flat tire in (current club President's) borrowed '36. I missed the Pismo TROG too where the weather played a part again. Quote:
Snoring doesn't bother Frank. We partnered up later on in that trip at the Foundation Museum in Auburn, after we had to scatter from Cragun's. We spent two days helping erect some huge F-O-R-D letters by the side of the building. (I can't wait to see what's happening out there!!!) Quote:
The people I've met through the V-8 Club, and people I've met through this forum, are my most treasured buddies! I'm not sure what that says about my sad life, but it's true!

Re: EFV8 Grand National Meet 2018
Jeff,
Drive or trailer, we are going to have a ball. BUT, you will need to bring the Yuengling - still not available in Michigan! If you stop in Auburn on the way, it is available in Indiana. Hint. Ken

Re: EFV8 Grand National Meet 2018
Keeping up with the connections aspect of this thread. It might have been in Springfield that a gentleman, might have been Robert Dick, was having some electrical and fuse issues. My brother and I tried to give a little help, and I gave that owner my box of fuses. Don'tcha know later that night coming back from the bar the Tilted Kilt, my headlights went dark. JM35 jumped to the rescue by lending me the same thing I'd given away!
It was in Auburn that Ken and wife (Ken's 36) lent aid when we'd done something stupid that ended up breaking our car forcing a roadside coil change.
