Re: Weber Carb
Depending on what Weber carb you are getting, what application it was made for, and what modifications it has had, it could be as simple as the 2 screws, Idle speed, and idle mixture.
Most Weber carbs are almost infinitly adjustable, and when new do not come optimized for a specific vehicle, The carb I have seen sold for use on a modelA looks the same as the one sold for a conversion for BMW 2002 in the 70s, and also looks close to the oe carbs on Fiats, Renaults in the 60s If you go on the Speedtalk website and search "weber carbs" I remember reading a good post about setting them up. When I worked on them the biggest problem was dirt, the smallest spec would clog the idle air jet causing a bad idle and stalling, the good thing was it could be unscrewed from the outside and cleaned easily. For my model A I prefer the original Zenith, 1 bolt to clean, and adjustable mixture from the dash. if it is jetted for real gas you will probably need to change them for corn gas --I have been having to make adjustments on the older (70s)Benzes with carbs and mech injection to not be too lean. |

Re: Weber Carb
It's the one sold from the vendors, with the aluminum intake.

Re: Weber Carb
And I have one that's been on the workbench for 3 years, waiting for me to install it on my '29 Tudor, so I'm hoping to learn something too.

Re: Weber Carb
I have one on my 30 tudr with about 12,000 miles on it. The only adjustment I made was a little with the air and idle. I do not run an electric fuel pump. I hate the way it looks but love the way it runs and the performance.
