Transmission output shaft spline specifaction

where could i find a printed spline spec. for 28-48 trans.output shaft to to give to my machinist ,its where the universal bolts onto ,i am do a later trans. swap to closed drive so need to shorten a suitable donor shaft,,not sure if the A shaft i have to copy is worn ,if i cant i suppose he could measure the new universal accuratily ,,
