1936 Ford Coupe firewall
I’m rebuilding a 3W Coupe. I clearly have a few extra holes in my car’s firewall. Heater hoses, radio mounts, and perhaps the odd other hole crudely drilled out for period attributes. Would someone be willing to post a photo of a firewall that Is known to be factory accurate? ‘Really appreciate it!

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
There's a great picture of a correct 1935-36 Ford firewall on page 10 of the V-8 Club's 1935-36 Ford Book.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Can't vouch for the accuracy, but here is an internet photo. If you are wanting 100% correct, like Don suggested your best bet would be a documented source.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
on post #3 above, it appears that a voltage reg. and some other relay has been added.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Nor are the holes in the firewall made to attach them.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Ron, The '36 book is well worth the cost. You will be quite pleased.

If you use this page to buy ($33.75 shipped), proceeds benefit my favorite non-profit. http://fordv8foundation.org/restobooks.html The one on the V-8 club site is $29.95 plus shipping & tax.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Jeff,
I doubt that the Foundation can sell it for $33.75 shipped to a Canadian address as the favorable U.S. media mail rates do not apply to cross-border shipments. Perhaps Ron has a friend in Montana where it can be sent for that price. |

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Good catch David. The Foundation says US shipments only, and I didn't see Ron was from Canada.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall
Thanks, everyone. I ordered the book this morning from a well-known Canadian vendor: George Moir Antique Auto Parts. He had them (and other parts I currently needed) in stock.
