Default What am I missing here?

The parts I ordered are starting to come in and I don't see how the new GAV rod hooks up to the carb. Mine was missing, so I ordered one from Snyders but something looks wrong. See pictures.

that is a later carb in the photo. Thye earlier ones fit with your rod and I am not sure how the later ones hooked.

You have a '26-27 carb with the swivel adjuster on top. But - the sleeve is missing that goes over the four-way box with nubs. A rod goes through the firewall and into that sleeve. It is shouldered so that it can turn the swivel. The rod you show is for the pre-1926 carbs (Holley NH, Kingston, etc.), You can order a new swivel sleeve and bend the ears over the swivel box. All is not lost, although you now have a pig sticker rod that can't be used with this carb - unless you install a swivel from an earlier style carb. Nah! 'Cheaper and easier to just add a new swivel sleeve.

I'll order the swivel sleeve. I saw one at Snyders. I may be able to cut off the pickle fork on the rod I bought and attach it to the sleeve.

No - that won't work as it has be be a sliding connection. Your carburetor uses a combination choke/mixture assembly - do a search on MTFCA Forum for information.

I ordered the correct parts for my carb from Chaffin's Garage. They have a good selection of parts, but only phone-in orders. It will be nice to get this working the way it's supposed to be. Thanks for the diagram.
