Default Keys and locks for a '55

Which keys work which locks on a '55 T-Bird?

Currently the square headed key works the ignition switch and the round headed key opens the trunk. Neither key works in the doors or glove box.
I would like to get the offending locks re-keyed but I'm not sure which key to match the locks to.
Are the round and square headed keys made differently so they'll only fit the the correct style lock?
I sort of remember the round key may be for everything except the ignition, is that right?

Thanks

Most cars had the ignition and door lock keyed the same,
and trunk and glove box were usually keyed the same.

Was always nice on a Ford to unlock the door and have the same key in your hand to start the car. Had read something once that said in a Ford you could leave your car with a valet or for service and keep valuables in glove compartment or trunk. GM's you had to give them both keys. Ford did the round head in the doors for a few years in the 80's as they thought it was a theft deterrent then went back to the old ways.

Lanny is correct for my 55. The door locks can be changed to match the ignition tumbler. When you remove the SS cover from the tumbler, a series of springs and "riders" come out of the little holes. If you want, remove all the springs and riders from the door tumblers, then never tell anyone. The key will lock and unlock the doors, any Ford key. The reason you never tell anyone is so they think its been locked with the correct key. You are secure.

Square headed key operates doors and ignition.
Round headed key operates trunk (or wagon tailgate) and glovebox door
