Default 1929 AA Truck

Hi,
I bought a 1929 AA Falstaff beer truck last month. The title and the documents from Falstaff back in the 1980's indicate its a 1929. When I got to the frame numbers it reads AA 268103 which puts it July 1928. It has a 2 tooth steering gear and 14 inch rear brakes & not dual wheel. What is the real year of production? I should add that the body from the door hinge pillars back is made by a carriage company and the rest is Ford.

Thanks,
Tony G.

What tranny is in the truck? Are the headlights "TWOLITE" or plain buckets? What color is the steering wheel?

Maybe the cab & chassis was in inventory at the carriagemaker for a few months before the truck was built.

The headlamps are 2 lite repro. The tranny is the usual 4 spd and a worm drive rear end. The steering wheel is black and the open style early type convex looking.

So far it sounds like a 29. Could a digit have been missed on the frame? There should be a star at the start and end of the number.
