Default '24 Tudor floorboard

I'm putting together a '24 tudor from a pile of sheet metal and a wood kit from Fordwood. Excellent wood kit for the most part but under the front seat there isn't a lip to hold the fhe floorboard. Do I need to router a lip into the surrounding frame or is there something else? Also, don't know if the metal attaches where I show it in the picture. It looks like the holes may line up for the front of the front seat. If it does, how would any floor board be held in place. Does anyone have a picture of how it should go? Would greatly appreciate some input. Thanks.

I think you have the metal strip the wrong way. There was a wood sill behind it and narrow boards running length wise between the missing wood sill and one just under the piece of paper. I am gleaning this info from the 1927 Ford body book. Fordwood shows the same picture.

Hi Darrel. This is how I did My Tudor. I didn't have a kit but worked from the remains of 3 rotten bodies. The seat/tank side is similar. There is no lip on the center member, just black paint. Hope this is of some help.

This shows the cut-out for the metal angle piece. I don't see any lip for the floorboard. Underneath a tapered metal plate may catch the edge of the floorboard. The 3 nuts are for the 3 seat hinge bracket screws. This worries me a little but the floor board is not supported at the front either. It does not seem weak to me.

Thanks for the picture. Looks like I may have put the cross member in backwards. It looks, from your picture, that the lip should be in the back and the the flat side is forward where the metal angle iron piece goes. I'll see if I can turn it around without too much trouble.
