Default vega steering box

would like to get more information on replacing model a steering sector with a vega steering sector. Can the original steering shaft and housing be used. Any photos and drawings or other web sights will be greatly appreciated. thanks Bob Brown

The easiest alternative to the model a steering box is the f100 steering box. Plenty of people sell them ready to put in the model a. I have one in my car, and I can turn the wheel with two fingers sitting still. Mel gross (hopefully that's how you spell his last name) sells the conversions in the classified adds here on fordbarn. Plenty of people have used him, and they seem to all be pleased with the product.

Try the HAMB. I don't think this is a bolt in to get the original steering to work. Too many mods. Strg box mount plate, new/reworked column. Spindles/strg arms.
The vega unit is used in a "cross" steer type installation. JMO
