Default 46 wagon spare tire cover

How does the metal band that fits around the tire itself actually stay attached. On bottom of one side is metal loop but nothing on opposing side. Does this just fit tight enough on tire it wont slip around? Thanks!

Yup, they just clinch around the tire on my '35-'36's. There is a disc that fits under the lip of the 'ring.'

You'll figure it out when you try to fit the rig together. Let a bunch of air out of the spare. Do it with the tire off the car. Then mount the whole rig to the spare tire holder.

I'm not sure it's possible to do it without nicking some paint.

I've bought 5 Auburn radials for my '35 and the tire is bigger making it a real fiddly job to get the spare tire disc under the ring. I know a buddy who used to run four radials and one bias on the back just so the ring and disc would fit up correctly.

Right, all that loop at the bottom is for is something to grab onto. It's almost like you need another set of hands to help.

mercman I love those two pics. First from Tahoe {EPIC MEET} and then from Dearborn 2018 another exciting experience.

Bless you for the way you create and collect images of stuff that fires me up!
