Custom bodied truck for Bell Chips. Randomly found two pictures of this truck from two different sources.

These next few images show a very rare 1931 Special Delivery. This one has been heavily accessorized, just check out the headlight bar. These images were promotional shots for the Jay Lubricator company.

Special bodied delivery on the left with what looks like a Dodge on the right and an unknown in the middle.

They seem to agree that whitewalls should be white on both sides. Cheaper that way.

BOAT !!! GOOD GRIEF !!! the vessel is a SHIP !!! . The loss of maritime English is here in UK too . Solemn newscasters advise me that two boats have crashed and one is leaning the other tilting ,passengers and crew are being airlifted from the front and back of said boats . After 40 years at sea in the Mercantile Marine rising to the dizzy heights of captain for 25 years it does get my goat !!! No offence meant but I thought I would air my thoughts .

John in lovely sunny and no I dont miss the sea Suffolk County England .

PS Ref the Ford vessel "East Indian"

WOW !!! Thank you for those great pics . The Chapman girls tempting the ice cream man ,maybe they get a free ice cream . They look about 20 years old so would have been born around 1912 so could be 104 years old now . I wondered how life panned out for them, do their descendants know about these pics ??? I wonder .

John in sunny Suffolk County England

PS Liked the locked spare wheel on the de luxe delivery ,you mean people stole things in California in 1930 ???

1930 Goodyear Airship Services “AA” at the Florence Avenue plant, Los Angeles. In keeping with Goodyear’s promotion of blimps as “yachts of the skies,” “Pilgrim” and “Volunteer” were named after America’s Cup contenders. “Pilgrim” was Goodyear’s first civilian blimp. Launched in 1925 and refitted in 1929, she retired December 30, 1931. The Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum preserves her gondola. “Volunteer,” launched in 1929, flew on through the 30’s. Two items of particular interest to the “A” community: (1) Check out the “high points judging” Goodyear flag logo on “Pilgrim.” (2) Note the lack of tire on the sixth rim. One wonders whether the fleet purchase deal hinged on the number of tires Goodyear had to purchase from Ford at retail. I suspect that Goodyear rushed this vehicle into the field upon delivery for promo photos with its airships before mounting a sixth tire “from stock” and later decided “We’ll not use that right hand view.”

Here's another image from the H.A.M.B. site. Any thoughts on what's going on here?

Just a Tudor, but certainly a commercial application.

A little European flair, I believe this was for sale in France, equipped for alternative power.

I have noticed that there are pictures of Sedan Deliveries on here with hinges on the left side of the rear door (which makes sense for the door to be opening away from the curb) and I see a 1930 which has the hinges on the right side open the door to the curb? Any ideas on why the difference? I also saw a post from some from New Zealand which the add showed the hinges on the right but it was also a right hand drive car so that makes sense???
