Default Correct Champion gaskets

Trying to install new Champion X3 sparkplugs for the first time, I notice they come with v-shaped solid copper gaskets. How do you you install them ? V up or V down ?
I also have a set of Brattons gaskets. They are shaped round, filled with asbestos.

What/how do you guys install the gaskets ?

Use the Bratton's copper gadgets with the asbestos facing down.
