Default What do these fit?

I got a pair of these shocks from a friend whose dad restored a Model A pick up. I thought they might fit the rear of my sport coupe. The mounting ears are lower than the original so the body of the shock sits higher on the frame and hits the body mount wooden block. Looking at pictures of the wood blocks on pick ups I am guessing that these were installed on his pick up and her removed them to replace with the original style. Can you help confirm my thoughts or tell me about what they fit?

I think they are V-8 shocks.

These look like they are in good working condition. Is there any interest? I still need a pair of shocks for my 31 Model A.

Might have a better response if these were posted in the For Sale section.

I do not believe they are V8 Ford shocks. If in fact they are I suspect they have been bent by someone for some other application. The '49 Fords no longer used the Houdaille shocks by the 1950's Ford was using direct action shocks.

Only a guess. At first glance they look like the shocks that were on my Tudor when I bought it. I kept bending the rear break rods. Discovered they were for a 36 Ford. These however are taller so I wonder if the are for a V-8 truck.
