Compression pressure Model B Ford
Does anyone know what compression pressure to expect with a Model B 4-cylinder engine?

Re: Compression pressure Model B Ford
The Model-B has only a 4.6 compression ratio, which is slightly higher than the Model A. Mine was never higher than 75-80 pounds, with an 0.060 overbore.

Re: Compression pressure Model B Ford
I have not checked my Model B in the roadster, but my Model A engine with a 5.5 Snyder head gets 95 lbs on all four...

Re: Compression pressure Model B Ford
Ballpark is 14.7 x 4.6 = 67.6 psig. Dynamic head from piston motion will make the pressure higher, so psig of 70 or more seems reasonable.
