Default 1931 Slant Windshield Cabriolet Wind. Frame

After wasting a lot of time trying to save my windshield frame I have "tossed in the towel". Too rusty and it will never look correct. I have been asking around and I would like to find one of the new windshield frames that were made by Gene Bunce for the 68C. Does anyone know who may have one of these windshield frames in stock? Snyders and Brattons do not have any left. Thanks for your help, Ed

Last I heard they were all out of stock and Mr Bunce passed
You might call Trautwein Machine up in NY as they were the ones that actually made them for him. I think he finished them up and then had them plated.
Trautwein is hard to contact as I hear.
You may search and find their info on the FB but also look for them under Early Ford section first.

I believe a good standard '31 Model A windshield frame can be shortened on the height by 7/8 of an inch and reassembled to match the slant windshield frame.

The swing arm brackets are different and the hinge.
Any slant can be easily modified but lots to do on others

Ed,
As far as I know from talking to Gene several times he said he sold more to Macs than everyone else combined. I was surprised yet he said was true. I purchased one through Macs when they had one of their sitewide sales as Gene couldn't/didn't discount them from him and they only had two left. I purchased one and it came damaged with a slight hickey and so I returned and they sent me the other. I would try them and see if they still have it. At one time I saw it on their website reduced.

I don't see it know but it's worth a call, or as blueoval said you might try the original manufacturer.

Call Jeff at Bratton's. They bought all of the remaining stock of frames from Mr. Bunce's estate. I think he still has some of the frames left in stock.
