That plus the front mount springs and possibly the measurement between the crank pulley and the rear edge of the front cross member.

I had someone take a measurement on his 29 Tudor and he came up with one inch!

When working with a car that was put together with a large hammer and a 2x4 maybe that measurement is in the ball park! LOL

A good initial check is slide the crank handle into the ratchet nut and see if you can hand crank the engine..That's a basic test to see if the motor mounts are in good shape.

Are your rear mounts stock, mounted correctly and not cracked? They are the orientation point for the engine. Also you should check diagonal frame measurements from the mounts foreword when the engine is out to check for a bent frame.
