Yes. It will require some creative shimming to get everything in line but it will work.

Unless it's a late 1929 frame the radiator will sit to high because of the
different front cross member.

Here is one that I did. The cab is december 1930. the running gear is november 1928 . We shimmed the cab. It didn't take a whole lot but it was enough that I had to use longer bolts from the local hardware store. I had to elongate the holes in the front cross member to align the 31 radiator. We used a new repro bed, back fenders, splash aprons and running boards. All and all it worked out fairly good.

Here it is after fitting the hood before the fenders.

forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference? is there a stamping (part number) on the member that can identify them?

On the 28-29 chassis, the front cross member has raised bosses where the short radiator mounts; the 30-31 chassis front cross member do not have the bosses where the tall radiator mounts.

If you try to use a 28-29 chassis for a 30-31 it is not advisable as the body, when properly shimmed, will set high above the frame.

If you have a 28-29 frame I would suggest you replace the front cross member with a 30-31 front cross member.

If you look under Pluck's sight... www.plucks329s.org Steve Plucker.....
you should/would find photos for the difference. It will say " Model A frame".

Ron, truth be known, its not that difficult and looks perfectly normal when its done on A pick up. I have been told by a reliable source that it is more difficult with a car body. I posted pictures of the one that I did above.
