Default Model 18 late steel oil pan

Does anyone make reproductions of the aluminum dip stick receiver 18-8751?

Does receiver have steel tube threaded into it? Or does dip stick seat in the aluminum itself?

Can anyone tell me the height dimension of the angled portion above the mounting pad?

Is dip stick the same as late stick for aluminum pan shown in David G's restoration manual?

And finally, is there a source for half round stock for making a new dip stick?

If you have a copy of "The 1932 Ford Book, A Production Chronicle and Restoration Guide", most of the answers to your questions are on pages 5-14 and 5-15. While obvious from the photo of the steel oil pan on page %-14 (see below), there was no tube threaded into the die cast receiver. I know of no reproduction of 18-8751 ever being made.

The steel pan used the same dipstick as the last version used in aluminum pans (18-6750-B (the one with 2" spacing between the "L" and "F" marks).
