Default Turlock engine builder

I remember hearing of an engine builder in Turlock, CA with a reputation of building great, strong engines. Only I can't remember his name. Possibly Rocky Reed? Can anyone help?

Larry Reed.
Joe Silvas worked with him and is still building quality engines. He stands behind his work. Many happy customers. The name of his business is Turlock Machine. There is also a video online with one of the Model A clubs interviewing Joe as he walks them through the engine rebuilding process.

Many years ago (circa 2000) Joe Sivils built the Russian B that's in my '30 roadster. The Reeds were the 'front' of the store. Joe was/IS the man. Nice family man and good ethical businessman.

The '32 B received much expert machining and full insert treatment. THANKS again Joe.

The Reeds went off into nut farming or somesuch....

I have one of Joe's engines in my pickup, runs smooth and strong. I will get Joe to build my next engine.

I agree with Joe building my next B build also !
I think that you have a clue which block and head setup I'll be having him play with !
If your block should show about the same time, maybe I can keep you posted on developments !
Still selling off stuff, collecting for a crank/pistons/rods, when needed....
