Milesmor Timing Device
Has any one have instructions for a Milesmor New Departure V8 device? On the dial that turns the distributor it has "sparks " ,then " BPC " and next " FPC" . I am guessing BPC & FPC refer to the sets of contacts closing ? Thanks

Re: Milesmor Timing Device
BPC = breaking points close
FPC= firing points close Take note of the 34 dec etc to set them up. If you want more info let me know as I use mine all the time, Lawrie |

Re: Milesmor Timing Device
There are two types of Milesmor tools, instructions are similar in most (not all) respects. Attached are photos of original pre 42 instructions. Not sure if they are readable.
Just in case, the link below to the Queensland Early Ford V8 Club website has a clearer set of instructions for both the pre and post 42 types. http://earlyfordv8qld.org/test2/23-tech-3 On the website, select the Tech Tips area for instructions for both types of Milesmor. Hope that helps. regards Roger Last edited by RogerM; 01-05-2016 at 05:12 AM. Reason: improve clarity |

Re: Milesmor Timing Device
For the crab and pre 42 type distributors, the timing plate is held in by a large wire ring type retainer – easily removed with a screw driver. If you don't have an IPB, check out this website below - the section titled “V8 Distributors & Ignition Wiring” has drawings. The ring is number 12146
