Roadster side curtains

Can anyone recommend a supplier for custom side curtains? I will be art Gettesburg.

Fine if you just want your A to be "complete." I went through all the rigamarole to cut out the patterns, etc., and after all that I've never used them in the ten years I've had them. They sit around and gather dust, which they are very good at doing.

The quartet curtains sure come in handy on cold mornings. They make the roadster feel like a coupe with windows rolled down.

Happy Begg (MAFCA President) made a set of custom side curtains for her Roadster. They allow the wind wings to stay outside, and give better visibility than "regular" ones. She took vinyl window material and made them up. Somewhere I have pictures she sent me. If you are interested, PM me and I will try to find them for you.

Hey Bill,
Hm, you do not say where you live, but if you are in SoCal, I can see your point in 'never using them', as it is always hot/clear here....and 112 last number of days...whew !

Can you tell me who made your curtains and cost to have them made, thanks

I had a less than perfect roof made a few years back.

So I went and bought a walking foot industrial machine and made my own curtains.

Came out great,

This last car I did, I made both the roof and the curtains, and with the previous experience and asking a couple of trimmers the basics, my job came out very nice.

Most satisfying turning a piece of vinyl into a Model A top.

Alas, they're black. Besides, they might not fit your car. I think each set needs to be custom made to match up the fasteners.

j is correct. The fasteners for one roadster will never match up with the fasteners from another roadster, they might be close, but a fastener that is 1/16" off will not fit.

I bought my kit from Lebaron. What you do is pay them the $650 up front. they will send you paper patterns for you to fit your car. It is a lot of work and trial and error to do the fit properly. You fit the paper up, then mail back the paper and they make the fabric based on what you sent them. LB was a great help for me because I was clueless about doing the fit. They came out great

Then if you don't have the studs in your car you have to drill and tap them to screw the studs in. That was nerve racking on an already painted car.

'they might not fit your car'....
So, that is good news, if you've (me ) got a car without either side curtains and/or top ...but have both, from a restored/rodded car, in storage !
