351 cleveland engine
customer brought in a 54 Victoria with a 351 Cleveland, needs a water pump, when I have looked for one-I get stares from counter person---question how can I ID the pump and what model of car engine was in

probably one from an early '70s mustang with the 351 Cleveland eng. would work. you probably need to find a parts store with a real parts person, although they are getting harder to find all the time.

If numbers on the water pump don't help you, you can look for the casting number on the engine block.
The info at this link says it's just above the starter. The first two characters of the number should tell you the year of the block. Hopefully that helps you out. "D" = 70's decade... Are you asking by the car model (1954) or engine series (351C 1970-74)?

Yup, have that when I go in for parts for my 351C. Engine? 2bbl? Automatic? PS? Air? Car? Answer 1936 Chevrolet.......easier to just say 72 Ranchero.
