Default ned some info on re 1953 Mercury HT

Hello: I have purchased a 1953 Mercury HT and would like to upgrade the the front brakes to disc and I understand there is a kit available to do this.
I have a friend with a brand new Jamco dropped spindle and disc brake setup for his 1950 ford and has decided to go with a mustange 2 setup for it instead. I can buy his complete front end setup from him for a very reasonable price.
My question is will his 50 for disc upgrade fit the 53 merc front end? Can the 50 ford dropped spindles be mounted in place of the 53 merc front end or will the Jamco disc set up work with the stock 53 merc spindles??
Thanks in advance

Don't hold your breath waiting on JAMCO,if you want to do some reading Google "Jamco complaints" pack a lunch and ice down a six pack you will be busy for a long while. If you click on this:http://www.jamcosuspension.com/produ...D1/33/sfID2/35 you can compare part numbers between the Ford and the Merc does not look like it is the same.
