Default Help Identifying unknown shaft / fork

Hi

New to Model A's and am working to get mine in shape. Dealing with lots of missing bolts, nuts, etc. and am not sure If something should be connected the the forks in the upper left of the first photo which is above and behind the battery and cross shaft near the cross member. In picture 2 the shaft fork is right center. In the third picture you can see where the shaft appears to connect to the stop light switch shaft towards the center of the car.

Is something supposed to be connected to the fork by the frame rail on a 28 roadster pick-up?

Thanks

Bob

Does your A have a left side emergency brake handle?

Looks like left over parts from the AR brake system. Early 28.

Agree, Ford didn't remove that part of the casting after he changed the location of the parking brake handle.
