Locking cap 37-38 PU

There's a locking cap on ebay that i've not seen before but it matches pics in the DeAngelis book on pages 207 , 208 & 209 on both 37 & 38 pickups . It's listed as 34 era on ebay . Like the oddball cap for 35 pickups the strap isn't out the bottom - it's out the top on this one . This is probably old news to you folks but it is new to me . I would imagine these aren't commom and the ebay one only has the cap part of the strap The long portion of the strap is not in the pics nor is it mentioned

The locking spare on ebay is not a 34. The one shown first appeared in 36 on pickups and panel deliveries anwere also used on the 37 pickups and panels in addition to the metal covers on some of the panels. I have seen their usd continued through the 39 model year on pickups and panels...the last of the wide five wheel pattern. The one on ebay is missing the top strap.

Thanks. My brain read the first posting as locking gas cap for some reason. Oldtimers is taking over rapidly I fear. lol
