For whatever it's worth, I happen to think that the Armstrongs are kind of cool. They look good, seem to mount rather easily & in a multitude of different positions, as can be seen. I first used Armstrongs on a '34 Sedan back about 1970. They can be found in different forms, but those pictured are about the cleanest version. They seem to perform well on light weight old Fords. DD

I have at least 32 that I’ve counted. I’ll have to put them in the swap meet.

I am using them on the front of my 39. But originals in the rear.

I mounted an Armstrong upside down on my 39. Right side up the spring could (probably won’t) bottom out on it.
