You placed your post in a forum intended for posts "To The Editors". You should leave it here but also place it here: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 I assume you are asking about the complete steering unit, in which case the '39 unit is definitely better due to its basic design. You are going to need the later mounting bracket for the unit. Bob Drake reproduces these or place a wanted ad. You will also probably need to shorten the steering shaft and column jacket. You will probable need to relocate the lock ring on the steering shaft. This is a common change to improve the steering. Welcome to Fordbarn
