New member remembers
I am new to the boards but not to the Model A. I am carrying on a tradition started by my dear friend (now deceased as of Oct. 2016) "Tadpole" Provence. The "Ramblin'Rebel" is a '30 Deluxe coupe that has been left in my care for maintenance and to continue showing it at all the University of Mississippi home games. I have visited this forum for many years to learn how to care for my friends precious machine. I hope to contribute when I can and learn further.
As soon as I learn how to download photos from my laptop (computers and the "Devilnet" hate me) I will present the colorful lady in my charge. Good day until that time. |

Welcome to the Ford Barn. I admire what you are doing for your deceased friend and for the hobby. "Keep it on the Road"

Re: New member remembers
Welcome to the barn. Although since I graduated Mississippi State, I will defer my comments of Ole Miss sports, but since you are a Model A'er, you have got to be good guy. Let me know if I can help in any way except football season. Jim Langley...

My wife (a computer systems guru) taught me how to post photos. Here is the late owner James "Tadpole" Provence and his '30 Deluxe coupe. |

Re: New member remembers
In my world, a steam loco should be black with some white trim (around the wheels and such) with it's brass polished. My wife thinks I'm nut's because I've been looking for one for the last several years to put in my front yard as yard art (I have a large yard). Would like a loco and coal car. Even if I find one the cost to get it here would be...........prohibitive, but I still keep looking.

I have the pleasure of working at UP's Roseville Yard,I maintain the Trackmobiles for them..The snow removal equipment is from 1928/29...one could say they are the Model A's of rail, still working the Sierras over Donner.. BTW,Roseville is the busiest yard in UP's system, fifty (50) tracks off the hump,I could watch them make trains all day long.. |

I've already told you how much I like the bright colors. I look forward to some pictures of the interior.
