Hi Everyone, Prof. thanks for the link!

One of the places I think of is Ball's Bluff Battlefield and National Cemetery just outside Leesburg, VA, one of those towns that had waves and waves of troops from opposing sides passing through during 1861-1865.

"Within the cemetery, which is enclosed by a brick wall, lie the remains of 54 soldiers who died during the Battle of Ball’s Bluff. The remains are interred in 25 graves, and the only known interment is James Allen of Co. H, 15th Massachusetts Infantry."

My mom tried to school me earlier today about 'Decoration Day' and it's history.

My Mom was looking through some letters from my great uncles estate just last week and found this postcard from one of my great, great uncles to his brother. It's dated Oct 1918, right after the end of WW1. I told her I'd like to hang on to it.
