F-1 Gas Line
im almost there..to start the truck.I need some pics of the original routing of a 48-52 gas line for the 239. I found a couple illustrations on line but i would really like someone to crawl under the truck to take pics. Trying to make one, thanks a million. Ken

Re: F-1 Gas Line
No pics, but it runs over to the driver's side, runs inside the frame channel (clips along the way), runs thru the triangular opening that the brake line and wiring run thru where the main crossmember joins the frame rail. From there it runs up the firewall.
If you have added turn signals, that triangular opening gets pretty tight! Getting a fuel line with ferule thru almost has to be done before anything else.

Re: F-1 Gas Line
My 48 has a newer motor in it, but the fuel line runs from the tank along the drivers side frame rail to the front and then across in front of the radiator and then along the right side for a short distance where it connects to the fuel pump.

Re: F-1 Gas Line
A little late to the party I guess. I am going through the same exercise with the fuel line on my 239. The only picture I found shows the steel line coming up vertically on the firewall from near the steering column. Can't tell which side, but I assume between the column and the frame right? It ends about level with the accelerator linkage where it runs horizontally on the fire wall. The line then is completed with flex rubber line to the fuel pump.

Re: F-1 Gas Line
Ross .... can you tell me if the gas line stays close to the edge of the cab , straight up from the frame or closer to the steering column? I can't seem to find any pictures on the net with this detail. PS the airtek fuel pump on my 32 still working good!
