Default Slant pole coil

After having it for over a year, I finally got around to installing my original slant pole coil today. I'll have to shorten my wires a little but I like it. Now to get Tom to rebuild my original 3 brush powerhouse generator.

I've had good luck with used original slant pole coils. I've been running one on my tudor for 14 years that I bought at a swap meet for five dollars. The coil was rusty and had a few dings. I cleaned it up , filled the dings, then primed and painted it satin-semi gloss black. About the only problem with the slant pole coil that i've read about is carbon tracks on the tower. The slant pole coils are hotter and better than most replacement coils and can put out about 20.000 volts. other than that they are original and a lot purtier than any of the replacement coils. I think that they are one of the parts that may last a lifetime or more, I hope so anyway.
