Default French Ford pistons...Looking for a value please

My neighbor has 2 or 3 1954 French Ford pistons from a Comete Monte Carlo(same as a Vedette V-8).He believes they are standard.I would like to post them in the Swap Meet section for him, but I need a price to fill in the blank. Anyone have an idea what they're worth? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Gene

Forgive me, sorry to say it, but I can't see that they are worth anything. Who would want to buy them?

Unless he has a set - but even then where is the market for them? I don't think French pistons are unique in that era. (could be wrong). In other words a set from USA or Uk production would probably work. I don't know if that model is like a V8-60 or the 85hp job.

Sorry to be so negative, but I can't see any value there.

I would be more than delighted to be proved wrong on this one.

Mart.

Unfortunately, I believe "Mart" is right. Plus the fact that they are "Standard" precludes their use in anything but a pristine or sleeved engine. I believe the "Vedette" engines were similar to V8-60's. That cuts the potential market down quite a bit.

Thanks for the input guys. No disappointments or hurt feelings here.I just didn't want to see him throw out parts that someone could use.
Much appreciated.

I just gave a local metal artist about 500 lbs of old flathead ford parts.
There were probably 2 dozen rods and pistons along with gears etc.
They will go to good use.

Just to confirm, the Vedette used the V8-60, but there were variations in design. I believe some parts are tricky to find, but I doubt an incomplete set of used pistons have value.

Yes the Vedette used the V8 60.The later Comete & Vendome used the 85 HP like the 59A.
