Default How do the pivots on a 32 5 window/roadster go on??

Ended up buying a Brookville decklid and I will say it is quite nice. It came with the little brackets that the pivot pin goes through. There are two holes that I assume are for the mounting screws but the end where I believe the pivot pin would go through is an oval slot. Is that right, it seems the decklid would move around and possibly chip paint etc.

As always, thank you for the assistance.

The slots allow for final height adjustment to the panel above the deck lid. When tightened they are pivots only. No slop.
