Default Floor Board May Studs

Where and how do the floor mat studs (photo attached) get installed. I did not see holes in the floor for them. I do have a few studs on the floor and lower firewall, although the studs don’t seem appropriate for my ‘28 roadster pickup

Thanks

If you have the mat there should be holes or slots in the upper right and left corners. Position the mat on the floor and look in the area of those holes, you should see holes in the firewall for the studs to fasten to. My A is a '30 so may be different but it had holes in the floor and all fit perfectly.
