Thread size Oil pressure Gauge
What is the thread size in the back of a 59a block on the drivers side.
There are 2 small plugs there. One screwed in horizontally And one vertical. They are quite close together. Will this be all I need to get a oil pressure reading? Or will I need some sort of copper wire with a probe on the end stuck down inside? Thank you. |

Re: Thread size Oil pressure Gauge
1/4" pipe.
You just testing the oil pressure or adding a mechanical gauge to a motor in a vehicle? For a permanent gauge, you can buy a kit that gives you a 1/4 to 1/8 bushing and a 1/8 to compression fitting . I use copper tubing then the messy nylon stuff that looks like spaghetti when its installed. For just testing , anything that will work. For permanent setup, small tubing prevent major oil loss if it breaks or springs a leak. |
