Default 8BA Block bolt pattern dimensions

Does anyone have or know of a drawing showing the location of the bolts on the back of an 8BA block where the bell housing attaches and also the front of the block at the waterpumps and timing cover.

I am looking for the layout that I can use to drill them into an aluminum plate for a race car, including the crank center line dimension.

I am planning to mount the engine to the chassis by an Aluminum plate directly to the block and bolt an IN/OUT box onto the back.

I will not be using a flywheel, clutch or the extra bell housing on the back. Also no stock water pumps on the front.

This is for an early 50's Hillegass Sprint Car.

Thank you for any help
Zach

I have everything for the front of the block, but never measured the 8ba back, only early stuff.

I send you and email.

Thanks, Andy!

Trying to save weight and get the engine back farther... 8BA seemed like a better idea.

I forget who posted that (JWL?) but I also have it in angular and X-Y format if you want them.

At the raer it may work easier just back drilling the plate through an old bellhousing?

If its no trouble Ross, that would help as I'll be going off a Mill with digital readout.
If not, though I can go from this just fine.

HP Hunter. I need to locate center to drill the plate for an In/Out box... so I wanted to know I was pretty darn accurate.

Thanks JWL for the original!

Yes, thanks John. That may come in handy on the Loudon engine as well. I also need the intake manifold bolt pattern for another project, if you have it handy.

I just validated those dimensions against the original Ford drawings - they are correct.

Hey Zac - did you get what you needed for the front of the block? Let me know if you still need it. Take care!
