Anyone recognize this Rochester Liquid level fuel gauge?
Hello All !
Let me start by saying that what we have what appears to be a moderatly modified ( body wise)1926 -27 Touring T that was put on a 1928 A. I did start a topic on that (together with pics) on the Model A forum, since everything else under the T body was an A (save for the later model 1934 wheels). So anyway, it's my understanding that theT never had a fuel gauge. So I'm now just naturally curious if anyone recognizes the Rochester Liquid Level fuel gauge that is currently on the T body. I realize it isn't original to the T or A. Might this have been an aftermarket item later on from Rochester ? I imagine perhaps applicable for other car makes/models ? Anyone recognize it ? I do plan to hang on to it for practical reasons. Thank you. Patrick |

More often than not, the aftermarket gauges just screwed in the same hole as the cap. Someone mounted it off to the side. Normally, the gas fill thread is recces into the tank and centered in the opening. Looks like the gas fill hole was moved over so the gauge could be installed, and a different neck soldered on for the gas cap.
