Default reassembly after painting

Gentleman, I know there's a lot of people on the form that have done this, but it's my first time and I meed some advice on assembling my Slant Window after it was painted. All four fenders, running boards, and the windshield were removed and now it's time to put it back together. I have no problems installing the front fenders, the welting is pretty much straight forward. But welting on the rear fenders might be hard to hold trying to installing the fender. Is there a good way to hold the welting? Also is there welting between the fenders and the running board and is it part of the fender welting? On the windshield bottom and sides seal there is a set in the rubber, does this set role back to the body or away from the body?
Thank you

John, don't have much advise for you about a number of your questions, but what I have found to hold welting in place while installing the two things it goes between, is to use some of this removable (blue) masking tape to hold it in place. Then before you tighten the bolts and after you get the bolts in place, then just sort of "slip" the tape out from between the parts. Or if you can't get it all out, it won't show under the welting. I am sure other people have other ways of doing this, but this works for me.

If anyone else can help! This in the first time I've tried to put an "A" back together. There not another S/W around for me to check. My 31 roadster doesn't have welting between the fenders and the running board but my S/W did. What's correct? And if it does have welting, is it part of the fender welting or is it a separate piece. And as for the windshield, as I said, there not another S/W around.

Just a thought, would a little spray adhesive on one side of the welting help?

When I reinstalled the rear fenders on my town sedan I just mounted the fenders fairly loosely and then slid the tab of the welting in between the fenders and the body. Be sure to make some V shaped cuts in the welt tab to allow it to conform to the curves.
As I drew the fenders up tight I kept pushing the welt in until it was held firmly in place. I did use some spray adhesive on the dog leg at the front of the fender where it meets the splash apron because that is such a tight turn there was no other way to hold it in place when mounting the fender.

No welting between running boards and fenders, front or rear. Welting only between fenders and body, and splash aprons and fenders as a single piece. No breaks.
