1935 Ford Floorboard Patterns

Has anyone done detailed drawings for the 1935 floorboards.

At one time, not terribly long ago, a regular Fordbarn contributor and parts supply business owner used to sell the floorboards on eBay. Must have had something for a plan. Not a whole lot of help here, but will bump this back up for you.

Someone besides the fomoco must have done detailed drawings to reproduce these wooden floorboards over the years, for as long as I can remember. I've personally bought these repo'd boards from several different sources of manufacturer's in the last 40 years. Roy Nacewicz was the latest source that I knew of who was reproducing them, and unfortunately, Roy has passed, and I'm not sure if Michael Driskell, of Third Gen Automotive, took over that part of Roy's business.

Likely the original engineering drawings still exist at Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn and you could order copies from there.

You can use the wood floor boards for 36 Ford sold by many vendors. Note that the original 35 Ford driver's side floor board was made from fabricated sheet metal and not wood. Only important if going to make original restoration.

I have an original (I think) passengers side wooden toe board out of my '35 Phaeton. You can have it for the postage. Jim in San Jose

Only relatively early '35s have the stamped steel driver's side #1 floorboards, the rest were wood like the passenger side.

In addition I believe the SUPER Early 35's had a Stamped steel RH floorboard rather than wood. I was fortunate to finally find one in a original 35 4 door parts car I had ( I still have that part). As a side note, the same car also had a unique Ashtray, steering wheel, and column tube with no flare at the end. I wish I still had that car. The serial number was a 1934 Engine/trans number.

That was also my understanding. Out of the six original '35's that I've owned over the years, only one of the six had a sheet metal toe board on the left/drivers side. The passenger side on all of these cars were made of wood.

My Canadian RHD export model 35 has a steel floorboard on drivers side and plywood on passenger side. The same but opposite to you guys.

I believe the Pick Up has a steel one piece toe board. That is what my 35 has and I am planning on using. kerk

Well, there is indeed a steel one piece toe board in the pickup. But there is also a one piece wooden floor board. Not sure if everyone understands that and not sure what is in the '35 cars.

35 Pick Up Floor board. I should have mentioned that there is also a wood floor board that goes from the front of the seat frame to the base of the steel toe board and then there is also a piece that fits around the transmission and ties this all together That is the one piece I o not have. Any leads for that piece I am interested in Thanks.. kerk

Here's an interesting note found in the BFRC: Sales Letter #47 (3/22/35) "Floor Board #48-700325 on driver's side changed from metal to wood. New # 48-700327. Use up existing supplies"
