Default 37 muffler

Greetings: need a replacement muffler for the 37 85 hp sedan. Anybody have a walker number (or any other) they have used? I have tried using dimensions with our local stores and have not come up with anything. I want to stay with a traditional muffler without going to a glasspack type. Thanks for your time.

I found a muffler for my '46 using Walker's site as attached below. Plug in the numbers, and it will come up with a recommendation. You may have to use a short reducer coupling to match your exhaust pipes to the muffler. Don't forget, some measurements are I.D. and some are O.D.

Waldrens seems to have good prices on OEM design mufflers and pipes. My exact fit 1936 cost me $100 plus shipping.

I went to an independent little Ma-Pop muffler shop and they installed a stainless, tube type, flow thru muffler and fitted it in the same location. A little bit of welding but kept all the original plumbing. They installed the muffler in reverse as to grates inside are against the exhaust flow, thus reducing the crackle affect but giving a very low, sweet, flat-head v/8 sound. You can't hear it unless you're at the rear of the car! Just my latest!
