I recently sold my 5 window, with uninstalled L-B interior, early V-8 garage brakes installed,
New Bob Drake grill and running boards, decent paint, great running stock engine .
Had 5- 16" bent spoke K-H wheels, new tires, complete set of deluxe garnish moldings . A no rust Texas car. Front fenders, grill, and hood were included but not installed. I received
30k for the car.

There's a '34 5W listed on Hemmings that's complete, unrestored for $25. Take a look to see how yours compares. Glad you're putting this back into circulation.

Hate to say it but I imagine most folks who could/would afford the cost of one of those would prefer to drop the bod and fenders on new, modern running gear. It may be slower but more profitable to sell the body, fenders and interior, at an inflated amount based on demand for street rods, and then let all that running gear trickle out to traditionalists. If someone does have the mindset to continue a traditional hot rod build, or restore it, that would be obvious in the first meeting and you could make a nice deal for somebody who deserves it. Otherwise you should gouge the $#¡% out of some kook through Hemmings, and get a pretty penny, for "careful storage of this rare and intriguing collectible piece of American automotive history and blah-da blah, blah, blah...." You know, send it over to Sweden with the rest of the nice clean bodies! Good luck, wish I was in a position to take it over! -Chris

Bill, Is this just a conversation post or do you actually want to sell it? If so put it on Ebay with your description and a couple of pictures and within a week you will find out what it will bring. That is what it is worth not what somebody estimates it. Even then you don't have to sell it.

You can get a hunert people to take a stab at what it's worth, but the
only true way to find it's value, is when someone digs out their wallet.

Keith:

I intend on selling her Hopefully to a Barner .
I need to know where to start the $$$ so it does sell.
But not be stupid on my part & give it away.
I would love to have someone get her & make her road ready then offer me a ride in her.
That is one thing on my Bucket list I would love to cross off.

Hey Bill,

Here is a auction that just ended here in florida. 33-34 3-5 windows in various conditions... with auction prices! 3 windows went for some serious coin.

https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog...=2&sort=0#cnTb

33-34 is one I'd like to have someday. Maybe after I finish my truck I will be on the lookout.

Hope the link helps some.

I sure it's your baby and you would prefer it to stay together; but probably the best bang for your buck, would be get the chassis rolling (if it isn't) and loosely install the fenders, grille, hood, etc. Then take some decent and detailed pictures. It will look like a car and more importantly, as a roller, it can be transported by a shipping company. If there is any chance at all of getting it titled, do it, that would raise the value and help in both domestic and foreign (almost a requirement) sales. Sell the engine and trans stuff separately. The 8BA sounds good; but won't be everybody's choice.

If you don't know what you want for it or what to ask for it, why not just list it as you have here along with pictures and offer it on a best offer basis.
That will bring out the buyers if there are any and give you an idea what they are willing to pay for the stuff. It's the same old thing, if you are a seller it's worth less than you think, if you are a buyer it's worth more than you think. Probably could meet somewhere in the middle.

The classifieds on the Ford Barn need to have prices listed. It's not an option to list things "best offer".
