B-400 Finally Finished!
New Avatar!
The B-400 is Finally Finished!! (Not advertising below, I just want to acknowledge all the work and products of others.) Made from a Tudor by Walter Kowalsky in Manitoba. I installed Victoria/B-400 floors. Body work and paint by Mackinaw Restoration in Central Illinois. Leather Interior and Top by Schober's in Northern Illinois, '32 Steering Box and Column with '39 Banjo Wheel. Engine Turned Gauge Panel from J&B Microfinish in Illinois with Auto Meter Custom Gauges. Wood Graining by Honest Charlie's Garage. The Engine is a 59AB, .100" over with Mild Cam, Adjustable Lifters, Offenhauser Super Dual Intake Manifold, 94 Carbs & Fuel Pump by Charlie NY, Crab Distributor by Bubba's Ignition, Edelbrock Heads, 39 transmission and 32 rear end with 3.54 gear. Nothing unusual there, but she runs great! '35 Wires with Excelsior tires. 5" dropped tube axle with mono leaf spring. SoCal Gas Shocks all around. Lincoln Brakes and complete Hydraulic Brake Kit from Richard and Dennis at the Early V8 Garage. Powder Coating of the frame, all the suspension, brakes, wheels and grille insert by Performance Powder Coating in Central Illinois. Roy Nacewicz bolt kits and front wood floors, Walker radiator with outlets turned down 30 degrees, transmission parts from Mac Van Pelt, American Auto Wire panel kit, O'Brien Trucking air cleaners and lots of Bob Drake parts. Tanks gas tank. Machine work by Dale G. Special thanks to David Rehor for his 'The 1932 Ford Book'. The folding top was a challenge. I borrowed front folding irons from Greg Morris in Kansas, got reproduction main hinges from Tennessee, wood header and bows from Oak Bows in Pennsylvania, obtained prints of the other top pieces from the Benson Ford Research Center in Dearborn and had the front folding irons and the other top pieces made by Superior Auto Parts in Delphi, Indiana. Superior now offers a complete B-400 Top Assembly. The Luggage Rack Brackets are unique to B-400s since the rack lays at more of an angle due to the shorter body. The car was a 4 year project with a couple of other projects in between. The next project is a '35 Roadster.

Re: B-400 Finally Finished!
Super nice. Most people wouldn't notice the difference in it and an original.
I love that body style.

Re: B-400 Finally Finished!
Great workmanship and attention to detail, that 4 year project was certainly worth it.

Re: B-400 Finally Finished!
If it is just half as much fun to drive as it is to look at then it is indeed a true joy behind the wheel. Great job.

Re: B-400 Finally Finished!
I'm lost for words.......my son has a pair of 2 door project cars that have taken up residence in my barn... ...as you might recall he purchased the roof portion from your B-400 project to repair one of his.
