Default Traffic light finder prism-inverted?

Y'all know those traffic finder prisms? They help us folks with visors-like Model A's-to see the traffic light when we're up close to the line. The two I have found, a suction cup one that mounts to the glass, and the more refined Guide style, mount from the dash.

I need one that mounts upside down-in other words will have the mounting arm coming down from the roof or top of the windshield.

Anybody know a source? I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Bought this one at Cantor's and I would think it would be easy to mount upside down.

It's seems like you would have to make a new mounting place on top of the prism as it want work up side down.

I have one like Denis shows in post #2, mounted on an "L" bracket off one of the lower screws on the left side of the windshield frame. You could just do that using one of the upper existing screws.

They are made of plastic. If need be it can be drilled and tapped for a home made bracket.

I've seen a picture of Carl's set-up in another thread, and it looks good...

You can't start a fire with a negative lens. The focal point is in front of the lens.

Once you could buy prism glasses to watch T.V. while laying FLAT in bed! Maybe they would work??? Buster T. suggests a mini-periscope, I think he's been watching too many James Bond movies! We have only 18 more to go.

Thanks for the suggestions. Denis 4x4,you can't mount it inverted because it then shows the ground, not the sky. Carl G's idea is intriguing-but maybe kind of cluttered in the corner-I'll try it out. I really like Buster T's suggestion-Edmund Scientific sells prisms from WW II tank periscopes-how cool would that be?

As a kid, I learned to make a periscope from a square pasteboard, (cardboard) tube & 2 make up mirrors! We would "watch" what the GIRLS were doin! Used Model A kingpins for "ice cream" scoops. Those old "V" shaped magnets were great fun! I "think" they came from Model T coil boxes?? A friend here dug up a "T" coil in his flower bed, I gave it to Gene who cleaned it well, and that dang thing WORKED!!! AMAZING! Bill W.
